Acharya Jnansagar who is also known as Gyan sagar Ji Maharaj was born in the year 1891. He was a renowned Digambara Jain Acharya who belongs to the 20th century who composed several epics of Sanskrit. He started the Acharya Vidyasagar in the year 1968 as a monk and in 1972 as an Acharya.
After finishing the primary education in the village, he studied Jain and Sanskrit philosophy in Banaras at the renowned Syadvad Mahavidyalaya established by Ganeshprasad Varni. He was started as a kshullak by Acharya Veersagar who belonged to the ancestry of Acharya Shantisagar. After that, he was named after kshullak Gyan Bhushan and remained for 2 years. An official Government of India beat in his memory was raised by Minister Sachin Pilot at Kishangarh Rajasthan, on September 10, 2013. Therefore, he turned the first Digambar Jain Acharya to have a stamp liberated in his memory.
As a professional in Sanskrit, he had been a wonderful composer in Sanskrit. More than 30 researchers have gone through his works and were greatly honored with doctoral degrees. More than 300 scholars have shown research papers on his effort.
His works comprise four Sanskrit epics and three Jain texts and that too at the same time when the Sanskrit symphony was almost outdated. These books have always surprised contemporary Sanskrit scholars.
